Homemade Wedding Invitations
On such special occasions nothing beats the romance and excitement of planning a wedding. The planning and the decision making about style and color etc go hand in hand.
Many people opt to plan everything themselves without the aid of a wedding planner or even caterer but some people will just take on the smaller, more personal, jobs like place cards and order of service cards etc.
Home made wedding invitations are a unique way of communicating your plans for the wedding. They do not necessarily have to be done on the cheap either. Depending on the materials used this could be a way of sending out sensational, one-off cards to your invitees.
There are beautiful cards and paper on offer on the internet in practically any color, some metallic, with translucent cover paper. Envelopes are easily made with matching paper and lined with colored paper matching the theme of the wedding. This will take time of course so plan well in advance.
If the wedding party is small the home made wedding invitation can be really something unusual. Perhaps a pouch made from the same material as the bridesmaids’ dresses, with a velvet or satin bow, holding an invitation, either computer printed or hand-written, on expensive or unusual card? All this packed into a beautiful box with a wedding favor. Who could forget that?
But the invite does not necessarily have to be lavish either. There are many websites offering packs of cards and envelopes along with place cards etc. All you have to do is buy the desired amount and print them from your computer.
So now you have chosen the card or materials that you want but you are not sure what to say. Well, never fear, help is at hand. Check out the internet and you will find many offers for this type of problem.
For the avid ‘home made’ aficionados there has never been a better time to try making your own wedding invitations. Some have even been known to make their own paper for these special events – it just depends on how far you want to go!
