Western Wedding Invitations
Weddings bring your distant relatives whom you have not seen for too long closer. Hence it is very important to get the planning of the event right.
Many couples, not wanting a traditional or stiff, formal wedding, sometimes opt for the themed ‘do’. What can be more ‘down home’ than the western themed wedding?
Western wedding invitations are becoming more popular – who would have thought? – and come in many designs. For the couple looking for that informal, fun style wedding then these set the scene perfectly.
Some invitations come as a ‘wanted’ poster naming the couple as wanting you, the guest, to appear at their celebration. Others come in the form of a cowboy boot, cowboy hats, cactus etc., and all designed to put a little fun back into the wedding invite.
But it doesn’t have to stop there, many couples ask for a dress code on the western wedding invitation - something like ‘country chic’. Can you imagine how colorful this could be? All those cowboys and girls turning up in full regalia for the big day could make it an unforgettable event.
It doesn’t always have to be a fun type wedding invitation. There are some classic western themes that can add a touch of elegance albeit in the western style.
One western wedding invitation consists of a black and white drawing of a western town. On the wall of one of the buildings – written in old-fashioned script – is the invitation to the wedding featuring the couple’s names. Inside the invitation is a verse or such and looks more like the typical wedding invitation. However, a twist here is the response card made out again like a wanted poster and stating that the outlaws – that is you the guest - will be participating in the wedding bash!
It is obvious then that anyone who sends a western style wedding invitation wants their wedding day to be a little different. Whether it is cowboy chic, or a fancy dress party, you can be assured that the perfect invitation card is available!
